RAF C-Type Leather Flying Helmet with MK VIII Googles and H Type Oxygen Mask
For sale is this brown leather chamois-lined flying helmet with elastic snap chinstrap. In 1944 the internally wired C type flying helmets were issued
These came with wiring loom and earphones already factory installed. This fine example comes without front goggle straps and features an elastic chinstrap and a built-in clip on the right side to accommodate the oxygen mask attachment hook
Also includes a post war H-type oxygen mask complete with electrical plug, straps and Earphones are marked on both sides marked AM 10A13466. The mask is unnamed and in good condition.
Mk VIII goggles featuring leather construction with suede lining steel eye brackets encasing clear glass lenses with no cracks or damage a classic cotton strap that is elasticated. Inside the suede lining is in good condition
Overall, the helmet is in good condition for age with just some very minor scuffs
